Her passion for animal welfare has driven Heather Saffer to become active across several initiatives to save the animals – and the planet – including the creation of Yonderplate, a low-labor vegan and gluten-free menu solution for restaurants and foodservice operators.
A food industry veteran, Heather previously founded Dollop Gourmet, a better-for-you vegan frosting brand, where she was a winner on ABC’s Shark Tank, and from which she successfully exited after establishing a wide following and national retail distribution.
Heather has been featured in Forbes, People Magazine, Huffington Post, USA Today, Oprah, Hallmark Channel, Steve Harvey Show, QVC, Sirius XM and was a winner on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Heather has also authored two bestselling cookbooks: The Dollop Book of Frosting (Simon & Schuster/F+W Media) and Crazy Easy Vegan Desserts (Sterling Epicure).
Heather is a food industry consultant and serves as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Food Foundry in Chicago and a Business Advisor at the SBDC.
